Since its opening in 1978, the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art has been known as “The Museum of Millet.” It houses around 70 works by Jean-François Millet, including his masterpiece “The Sower”, as well as “Gleaners, Summer” and the rarely seen gem “The Cowherd, Fluting”, often called a “phantom masterpiece.”
